Dead Topics

- The actor's personal lives are NOT for discussion. Unless one of the actors have made information about their personal life public, or appeared at a public event, no pictures, no articles, no nothing unless the star is the one openly offering the information to the public.
- DO NOT reveal the names of or addresses to sites or people where illegal material (scripts, sounds, video files, tapes, etc.) can be gotten. Post an e-mail address if you're requesting it, or offering it for others to contact you at.
- Discussion of James Marsters's age is an insolvable issue and a waste of board space.
No more posts about "songs" perfect for couples or characters. Harmless as they may be, it treads too far away from "on topic" and space is too valuable right now.
- No discussion dedicated to interviews the writers do where they offer insulting remarks to fans. If they're going to disrespect the fans, we're not going to give them attention for it.
- (I didn't think this was necessary...but apparently, yes.) The debate of a character's sexuality is NOT FOR DISCUSSION. Whether Willow (or any other character) is gay or straight or bisexual... it's not something for us to decide or debate over. Any relationship discussions started on the board need to leave the topic of "Is he/she or isn't he/she this or that?" out of it! Threads will be deleted.

Overused Topics

These are topics that the board has talked to DEATH. Please try very hard not to start threads on these discussions or get dragged into repetitive arguments on the issues. This list is subject to change or additions depending on the activity of the board. These topics however have been repetitive for just about two years now. Take a hint, PLEASE?! (Listing last updated: 2/14/02)

  • Buffy/Spike - Do they belong together, do they love each other, yada, yada, yada. Pretty much anything related to the B/S relationship has been talked about from every angle, good and bad. There is no point to asking the board who supports the ship and who doesn't. It always starts up an argument, so just don't.

  • Is Spike good/evil? Has he done enough good to be redeemed? Guess what? People are NEVER going to agree on this topic. Some think yes, some think no. No amount of debating the issue from every bloody angle (and believe me, the board has already, many times) is going to change that. Starting/Participating in enough of these threads will get you on BM's Bad List. If you don't want her as an enemy, lay off this topic! If it's that important to you, join Bloody Awful Poet Society where the entire purpose of the group is to discuss Spike's redemption. (Please note that the group is entirely *PRO* redemption and should not be joined by those who don't support the idea of Spike's redemption.)

Q: Does Spike have a soul? Did he *want* a soul? Is he human? Did he get his chip out?

A: In the season finale, "Grave," Spike was given back his soul. (This was confirmed by the show itself, for those actually paying attention to the episode.) He purposely went to Africa to *get* his soul. (Many writers, including Joss Whedon himself have confirmed this.) As far as we know, he is *still* a vampire (not Human) and he did *not* get the chip out. (Joss Whedon also confirmed this at a panel discussion, although he mentioned that we were *supposed* to be thinking that he got his chip out.)

Q: What is the song that plays in this episode? Who wrote the theme song?

A: Information about music that plays on Buffy can be found at The Buffy & Angel Music Pages. Please don't post addresses or even names of places where the songs from Buffy can be downloaded. Those are usually illegal. Post an e-mail address whether asking for or offering to provide information about that kind of material.

The Latest: The song that plays at the end of "Becoming 2" when Buffy is leaving Sunnydale is "Full of Grace" by Sarah McLaclan. The song that plays in the episode "Dead Things" during the "door" scene between Buffy and Spike at the Crypt is "Out of This World" by Bush. It can be found on their "Golden State" CD. The song that plays at the end of the season 6 finale, "Grave," is another Sarah McLaclan song titled, "Prayer of St. Frances." Not easy to find on CD though, check the net if you need it. (Updated: 6/25/02)

Q: Will there be a soundtrack for the musical? Where can I get it?

A: A soundtrack for the musical will be available, but it is the product of 20th Century Fox, who took over two years to produce an official soundtrack for the show. It is slated to be released early this year (2002), but nothing has been really officially announced. As soon as it is, the information will probably be posted to the board a few hundred times as well as this page and TBC&S.

Q: What is the Wildfeed? How can I read it?

A: The wildfeed is an early airing of the new episodes via satellite. A wildfeed summary is a summary of that viewing that allows those addicted to spoilers to read what happens in the episode early. The summary for Buffy is not to be posted on the board (for bandwidth issues) but can be found at: Leoff Online Monday mornings. There is a link at the top of the board to the website as well. Please don't ask the board when the wildfeed will be posted and don't post threads stating things like "I can't wait for the wildfeed!" It just takes up space and will be deleted. Someone usually posts when the summary has been posted, but please don't reload the board repeatedly for that information, that only causes trouble for the board.

Q: Are there going to be anymore crossovers?

A: They are NOT planned for season 6 of Buffy or season 3 of Angel. Joss Whedon has stated that he'd like to try them for next season of both shows, but nothing has been arranged yet.

    Q: What does 7-3-0 mean?

A: "Graduation Day, Part 2" was our first glimpse at this hint as Faith stated: "Little Miss Muffet counting down from 7-3-0." The reference was to 2 years or 730 days. Two years later, in season 5, we were introduced to Dawn. Further references existed in the episode, "This Year's Girl" (Season 4) and "Restless" (Season 4).

Q: New Slayer?! Is there going to be one? Why isn't there one?

A: A new Slayer will ONLY be called if the show kills Faith first. Buffy could die a million more times and still there would not be a new Slayer. Only Faith's death will trigger another Slayer's calling and right now, there are no plans to bring Faith (because of Eliza's busy schedule) back and therefore no new Slayer.

Q: I missed this episode, please help! (Or, My VCR didn't record, I need to see this episode!)

A: If you just want to know what happened, you can check out a summary provided on The Buffy Cross & Stake. The summary is usually posted Tuesday night after the new episode airs. If you absolutely cannot wait for repeats and don't have a friend who taped the episode, you can ask for someone to send you a tape on the board, but do NOT post any personal information other than your e-mail address, which is absolutely required. Any provision of episodes on tape must be dealt with off site and if at all possible, don't even bring it to the board. Asking for tapes or illegal online videos of the episodes is really a bad idea. The same rule about posting a request complete with an e-mail address applies to any requests for online multimedia like sound files, videos, scripts, etc.

Q: There are some really offensive posts on the board! What should I do?

A: Do not respond. People who purposely cause trouble at the board and break rules are called "bazoars." Our policy at the board is simply IGNORE THE BAZOARS. Do not reply to them, do not encourage them, it will only get you in trouble as well. If you see an offensive post, REPORT IT! E-mail AnGeL X immediately. When it comes to problem posts on the board, there is no such thing as tattling. If you don't report the problem, you wave your right to complain about it later. Don't start new threads to ask what's going on when there is a bazoar terrorizing the board and don't start new threads to thank the moderators for removing the offensive posts. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but there's no reason to waste board space over that. If you spot an offensive post, you are encouraged to reply to it to identify it as offensive (if the offensiveness isn't obvious in the subject line) so it is easy to spot, but e-mailing AnGeL X will speed up the process.

Q: I've seen this topic addressed a thousand times! What's going on?

A: Yes, we get repetitive topics because a lot of people, regardless of how tired they say they are of hearing them refuse to stop replying. Wanna help out? Don't reply to them. Don't start new threads on the overused topics. Show some shred of respect for the BM's head which will explode if these topics are talked about too much more!
